Do you know why more and more players are wanting to know how to play super aggressive No Limit Texas Holdem Poker? I think this is because everyone is catching on that an aggressive style of play is generally the most successful style of play. It sure beats being passive. Its actually quite easy to play super aggressive, you just have to stay within some guidelines.

Want To Know How To Play Super Aggressive No Limit Texas Holdem Poker?

The easiest way to play extremely aggressive No Limit Texas Holdem Poker is to always bet 5 times the big blind. Never ever check, never ever call, never raise the minimum amount or any other amount, just always bet 5 times the big blind. Your decision is very easy: fold or bet 5 times the big blind. This is super aggressive No limit Texas Holdem Poker.

But Before You Can Play Super Aggressive…

You better have decent cards. Playing extremely aggressive but playing very loose as well is a recipe for disaster. If you are deciding to play very aggressive you need to tighten up your game. You need to stick to good poker principles:

- Play the odds, the numbers
- Choose your starting hands carefully
- Don’t play post flop if you don’t have a good hand
- Calculate your odds and outs
- Pay attention to your opponents, their cards, styles of play etc
- Don’t get too loose

How To Play Super Aggressive And Loose At The Same Time

There is only one safe way to do this. First you play tight. Play good strong poker with good hole cards and play through the river with a good hand. After you have done this a couple of times you can start to loosen up slowly. Sneak pairs lower and lower down to middle pairs. Play high suited cards, then middle suited cards. Slowly lower the quality of the hands you play. By first playing extremely tight you will set a precedence. By continuing to always bet 5 times the big blind the other players will be scared to challenge you.

No Limit Texas Holdem Poker extremely easy once you know how to play super aggressive but you have to make sure that you do it correctly. Playing too aggressive can sometimes get you into trouble if you play too loose. Being able to handle the heat and keep your composure during massive pots is critical if you are ever going to succeed in playing super aggressive No Limit Texas Holdem Poker.

Its easy to learn how to play Texas Holdem poker for NL. NL stands for No Limit. No Limit Texas Holdem Poker is one of the most popular forms of poker in the world today. What makes NL poker stand apart from some other types of poker is the fact that at any time you can bet as much as you want up to no limit. Of course you have to have the amount of money you want to bet but that is the only restriction.

Learn How To Play Texas Holdem Poker For NL

Texas Holdem Poker is usually played with 8 players at a table. You can play with less players then this if there aren’t enough playerd. When there are only two players playing this is known as heads up. The table will have a dealer. There will be a dealer button that signifies where the dealer ‘is’. Each hand this moves to the next player around the table. The two players in front of the dealer are the big blind and the small blind. They have to post a certain amount of chips without being able to see their cards (hence ‘blind’).

The game starts and every player will get two cards. These are hole cards, or pocket cards, or down cards. These are your two cards and only you get to use them. A round of betting will occur. At a minimum if you want to play you will have to call the big blind which is the largest amount on the table. If someone raises you will have to call them or reraise them or you can fold. The minimum amount to raise or reraise is the amonut of the big blind. Once everyone has made their move, either called up to the maximum bet for the round or folded, the dealer will deal will pull all the chips into the middle, which is the pot.

The Flop, Turn and River

The dealer burns a card (this means he throws away the top card of the deck) and deals the flop. The flop consists of three cards placed face up on the table. These are known as community cards. Everyone gets to use these. By the end of the game there will be a total of five community cards. Each player must make the best possible five card hand with their own personal hole cards and the five community cards. After the flop is dealt there is a round of betting starting from the first player left of the dealer. This player can check (bet nothing), raise or fold. If he checks the next player also has the opportunity to check and it continues. If anyone bets you now cannot check and must either call that bet or fold. You can reraise if you like.

After all bets are done and the chips have been pulled into the pot the dealer will burn another card and then deal one more card, the turn, also called fourth street. Again, similar to before, betting starts from the first player left of the dealer. He can check, raise or fold. Like before, as soon as someone raises no one can check anymore. Sometimes every player just checks and the next card is dealt. More often though at least one person will bet and then you have to call that bet, or you can reraise or fold. This continues around until everyone has either folded or called up to the maximum amount bet. The dealer again pulls all the chips into the pot.

The dealer burns his last card and places the final community card on the table. This is called the river or fifth street. Now no more cards will come into play and the players know for sure their best five card hand. One final round of betting will take place in exactly the same format as before. After every player has acted the dealer brings all the chips into the pot and its time for the showdown. The player who initiated the final round of betting has to show his cards first and then everyone else shows their cards. The person with the best overall hand wins.

Texas Holdem Poker Hands

The different Texas Holdem Poker hands are easy to learn. I’ll do them in order from worst to best. Remember S=Spades, C=Clubs, D=Diamonds, H=Hearts.

1) Nothing, aka Highcard.
This is just five plain cards, i.e 7D-5S-4C-3C-2H
2) Pair
Two of you cards are the same number and three plain cards, i.e 2H-6H-10C-Jc-JS
3) Two Pair
Two pairs and one plain card, i.e AC-7S-7D-QC-QH
4) Three Of A Kind
Three of your cards are the same number and two plain cards, i.e JH-5S-8C-8S-8D
5) Straight
Five cards that are consecutive numbers, i.e. 3D-4H-5C-6S-7S.
6) Flush
Five cards that are all the same suit. They can be any numbers, i.e AS-8S-6S-4S-3S
7) Full House
A Three of a kind and the other two cards are a pair, i.e KD-KH-3S-3D-3C
Four Of A Kind
Four of your cards are the same number and one plain card, i.e JH-JD-JS-JC-9S
9) Straight Flush
Five consecutive numbered cards and they are all the same suit, i.e 4H-5H-6H-7H-8H
10) Royal Flush
The top five cards and all the same suit, i.e 10H-JH-QH-KH-AH

More Things To Remember

1) At any point in time anyone can go all-in which means they are betting all their chips. This is the essence of No Limit Texas Holdem Poker. If you want to continue playing you must call the amount that was bet.
2) Even though there are seven cards to use in total – the five community cards and your own two hole cards – your best hand is the best five cards of these seven.
3) Don’t bet out of turn. Always wait for the person before you to check, raise or fold before you make your move.

We will never know why we overstayed our hand and are doomed to repeat the error when next we face the table.
Post from: Poker Reviews

When Is The Time To Stop Playing Poker?

To stay and play or not to stay and play, that is the question. If we leave too early, we are tortured by the thought of future potentially winning hands. If we leave too late, we have already lost our shirts and not potentially, which is even worse, especially that last grisly hour. We will never know why we overstayed our hand and are doomed to repeat the error when next we face the table.

It is crucial to be able to stay or leave based on a logical analysis of the situation, not an emotional impulse. If logically you have matters to attend to – liking picking up your wife and kids or attending work – you must be able to leave immediately. Sometimes a desperate hope for by now certainly imminent better luck is so strong that you miss dates and business appointments. But, the longer you stay overdue, the worse you play, because you know you are supposed to be elsewhere and that possibly your are ruining your life and career.

If poker is supposed to be entertainment but you are not enjoying it – this is a good reason to leave early, before the game becomes a tangle nightmare of bad moves and worse moods. You often see player who take up poker as recreation, but when a game gets too much for them, they cannot leave, and yet they cannot play. They stay out of some sort of perverse compulsion to prolong their torment, not willing to walk out losers. They stay and become greater losers with every losing new hand, instead of accepting good-naturedly accepting the situation – which is merely pastime anyway – and leaving the table, remaining in a good mood, and perhaps trying another game later at another table.

To overcome such pitfalls, the source of the problem must be discovered, and that can be done by the realization that the problem has nothing to do with the game intrinsically. If you insist on performing a pointless activity of self-torture that you cannot possibly enjoy but neither can you get up and walk away from, you have a problem. If you are not staying at the table for the poker, then you are deluding yourself and avoiding what is really troubling you.

This behavior is undoubtedly manifesting itself in other aspects of your life as well. You must refocus to help you uncover the source of your problem. Don’t waste any more time wondering dumbly why you have once again overstayed your playing time by that murderous extra hour and try to concentrate on envisioning yourself in your other day-to-day activities. This may allow you the insight to discover incidences totally unrelated to your poker game where your behavior is the same.

The problem may lie in not facing the fact that you hate your job, or owning up to a real feeling of grief that you have suppressed for a long time. If you are able to make a connection, you may be able to stop kicking yourself and enjoy the reality of life and of poker.

There are beaucoup books written exclusively on limit games. The multitude and availability of the literature devoted to the game gives it a major advantage. The game is thoroughly studied and an apt student can learn much from these books along with experience at the table. The decision making process is not terribly complicated in limit hold’em and basic mathematical aptitude can lead to instant mental calculations while involved in a game.

Moreover, dispersion is less of a threat in limit games. That coldly calculating deity determines the chances of every player involved at a given moment and even the worst and unluckiest rookie may luck out (if you don’t want to go into actual statistics, just read any of Terry Pratchett’s hapless-Rincewind novels for a dramatization of this point of games and life).

As a rule, any and all poker games are subject to the mathematical phenomenon of statistical dispersion, i.e. major losses are part of even the most expert player’s game, and it is this fact that stops folks from indulging in any game of poker. Limit poker is not as mentally intense as no-limit and tournament games, which involve high dispersion. You don’t need a lot of funding to play Limit Hold’em and like the large quantity of literature on the subject , there are computer programs specifically designed for limit poker – Poker Tracker and Poker Office will help low limit players especially. These programs can be used both during the game and after whenever an analysis of any part of the game is called for or to make statistical calculations.

The above advantages lead to one of the few disadvantages of limit poker. There is an ever enlarging pool of experienced, knowledgeable opponents. So while the game is highly accessible, it is becoming less profitable. Non-virtual poker venues make their money chiefly from the rather small rake reducing the pot during every round. These rooms depend on their profits not from the number of players they attract. What keeps them running is at the end of a series of games, the percentage from the total hands played may make their income rise to amazing sums. The limit games that include expert players may be not only less profitable but may actually result in a loss.

While the availability of limit poker is not a problem online, off line is another story. There is little exposure in the non-virtual world because limit poker does not include the features that make a poker game attractive to casinos and card clubs. It is the camaraderie around the table, the laughter and chatter, that makes the game rewarding and memorable to most people. This cannot be found online but requires a group around a table. The limit player gets his thrills from the true essence of poker – the combination of cards.

Nothing keeps a poker amateur away from the table so much as the types regularly seen on TV’s World of Poker. You know the types, they wear big shades, big hats, or big hooded sweatshirts completely shutting out all humanity. They appear arrogant and intimidating and they are. They keep anyone but players like them away from the table.

For the amateur will, for the most part, prefer a table where he thinks he can have a good time, whether he wins or looses. For him the game is not a way of making a living, but quality time. The sociable, successful businessman happy to get out of the office or to have a bit of fun before the foreign meeting, the brilliant computer scientist who likes once in a while to play a real game as opposed to online poker: these people, cruising around the room, are looking for a table where players are relaxed and friendly. They will listen for laughter and scan smiles before they at all try to observe the players’ actual poker skills, and will finally go for those tables where people seem to enjoy themselves.

To the players who want to constantly earn an actual income at the table, these guys are a godsend. An individual player will probably not lose a lot, but will do so consistently. If the pro wants some dough he has come to the right place. These good ol’ boys seeking fun will stay longer, place riskier bets and lose more when they are having fun.

At a table where nobody initiates any human contact and there is no way to see what the opponents look like behind their cases of armor nothing keeps the amateur to leave as soon as they lose once, never to return.

On the other hand, a good conversation and a sense of humor combined with a slightly flattering play which keeps the amateur trusting he has a chance will increase the chances of that player coming back for more next time, perhaps even specifically seeking out your table. Since they do not play for the money or the excitement of high stakes, they will not regret as much having lost to an entertaining player.

By keeping the weaker opponents in a fun loving mood, you will keep up their poker hopes. They must be good, they are having such a good time. Luck, being the fickle lady that she is, is sure to fall on them some times. The relaxed ambience of this table will attract more amateurs, making it a golden opportunity for the player looking for serious money.

This gregarious, relaxed persona is not necessarily born to the expert players. They learn it along with the skills and techniques of the game and practice, practice, practice. This allows them to manipulate situations to their advantage while projecting a very positive and entertaining experience for the little fishies that took their bait. And, the fishies will thank them for providing them with such an entertaining time at the table.

There is always something new and exciting in the world of poker. The latest thrill is Omaha hold’em. You all know the game of Texas hold’em with its two-card deal, Omaha hold’em offers the twist of a four-card deal.

The extra two cards open up a whole new avenue of possibilities while playing poker. The main idea behind Omaha is to offer you the extra two options to obtain the best hand possible. Essentially it boils down to which two of all four of your cards will best fit with the community cards that are down on the table. In normal hold’em you only have the two cards you are dealt and you have to use them as best as possible, and in Omaha you at least have a choice.

With Omaha you have more hands to play and more chances at winning. If poker were all about the cards, it wouldn’t be nearly as popular as it is. If cards are all you want for enjoyment, stick to a game that doesn’t involve your wallet. It is the betting in poker that offers the thrill of risk and a whole new strategic learning experience. You will be more focused on the game because your money is involved.

The whole ruling and game play behind Omaha is the same as Hold’em, everyone is dealt their four cards that they can use to play a round of poker. If you decide to play, you will need to make the minimum bet for that round, called the big blind. Depending on your hand you can call it, raise it, or fold.

The first set of community cards are dealt to the table face up (the flop) after the initial round of betting. Here is where you determine the strength of your cards. The next round of betting occurs here and you can once again choose to raise, call or fold. Once betting is complete, the next community card ( the turn), is dealt to the table and the next round of betting begins.

Once the last card is dealt (the river), the final round of betting begins and here is the card that will make you either a winner or a loser. Either way, you are ready to start all over again to either win back a loss or add to a win. The rounds of betting allow you to judge the strengths of your opponents’ hands and with experience and developing your skill at perception and insight, you will know when to bet and how much.

All forms of poker involve the challenge of playing against people rather than just the cards. Most of the time a person is unpredictable, until you begin to learn their playing style. If you can pick up on how they play, then you can predict what a person will do based on how you play.

The more you play, the better you will get at putting your opponent on a hand and the easier it will become to beat them; the rest as they say is all up to luck!

In one of the top masterpieces of Soviet satire a brilliant con artist, to win a bit of money, convinces a local small-town chess club that he is a traveling maestro and organizes a tournament. He first gathers the fees from the awe-struck yokel-enthusiasts and then plays “twelve identical matches” without understanding much of what he is actually doing, this being the second chess game of his lifetime, but placing the figures more or less correctly, with the terrified locals reading too much into his banal moves. Very soon, however, he good-naturedly utterly loses all twelve simultaneous games, to the amazement of the town. Buy then, however, he has gained the time he needed and escapes with the money. He is not a good player, but he is a winning one.

The novel is The Twelve Chairs of which there are both English translations and film adaptation DVDs actually available from Amazon.com. The first film adaptation of the book was actually a Mel Brooks comedy, which is a loose adaptation, recommended only for Brooks fans. The best Russian adaptation is the 1976 mini-series by Mark Zaharov, one of the greatest Russian directors of all time, though he may not sound as familiar as Tarkovsky.

At the heart of the satire is that a good player, poker or otherwise, can be defined by what his goal is. The fictional con man of the satire was an effective chess player because his goal was to make some money and run, and he did just that. In addition, he was ever so cognizant of his shortcomings as a chess player and structured a plan to play fast and get out with the money before the townsfolk were onto him.

There are numerous poker players out there who do not recognize their lack of ability. Poker players are blessed with an overactive ego, possibly due to the riskiness of the game giving the players a certain bravura. Unfortunately for them and fortunately for the good player, they didn’t get the concept that poker is a complicated, demanding game which requires education and hands-on experience to succeed at all. For those who are clear on the concept, the game can be most profitable.

There are also the players who have simply learned a set of rules they strictly follow without applying much thought or trying to improve radically. They conceal their inferiority carefully enough to convey the impression of competence and mostly win in terms of overall profits. If that is their sole purpose for playing, than they may be called good players.

In poker as art, however, all of these people are not real players (to avoid calling them bad). They are on the set somewhere, but theirs are not exactly the leading roles. A good poker player is one who is eager and grateful for yet another insight which might still improve his already nuanced game of thought, skill, showmanship, and perception. He or she admits his weaknesses and strives to have as round a set of skills as possible.

ABC Texas Holdem Poker Strategy is essentially strategy completely based on the real odds of winning with the cards that you get. In this strategy having a pair of aces, A-A, is the best possible hand you can be dealt. Having an offsuit 7-2 is the worst possible hand you can start with. A ranking of hands exists based on the probability of those two cards winning the game.

Why I Wouldn’t Rely On An ABC Texas Holdem Poker Strategy

Although I do agree with the overall idea of the ABC system and also agree that higher cards, like A-A and K-K give you a better chance of winning in some respects, I would never rely on an ABC Texas Holdem Poker Strategy. The reason is simple: an ABC Texas Holdem Poker Strategy doesn’t provide the flexibility required to incorporate all of the other factors of the game into your decision. I’m talking about very important factors that should affect you decision like:

- Your play style
- Opponents play style
- Your reputation at the table
- Opponents facial expressions
- Opponents body language
- Your stack size
- Stack sizes of every player
- Blind and/or ante limits
- Time left until the blinds raise (in tournaments)
- Your feeling of the game
- Your ‘read’ at any given time

I could go on and on. Frankly, poker is a lot more intricate then just mere card odds. If you could just play the odds and that was that there wouldn’t be any real essence to the game. Lets take an extreme example: the bluff. A bluff has got to be one of the most widely known, lucrative poker moves around. A bluff is essentially playing completely shot cards. An ABC Texas Holdem Poker Strategy would decree you fold the cards because they are ‘bad’ but you could be missing out on a great opportunity to steal some money.

It’s Not All Doom And Gloom

I understand the that ABC Texas Holdem does have its place. Its a great way for new players to learn which cards are better then others. Its a great way for those players to know when to play and when to fold so they don’t lose a bunch of money. There are many benefits of playing an ABC Texas Holdem Poker Strategy so if you are seriously struggling with your poker game then you may consider looking at it to get on the right track to start off with.

Think About It

Would a computer win against a professional Texas Holdem Poker player? If you configured a program to play poker based on a ABC Texas Holdem Poker Strategy would it be able to beat a table of real-life poker players? Poker is a lot more that just odds of cards and luck. Poker is a game of skill. Do you see the World Poker Tour champions winning with an ABC Texas Holdem Poker Strategy? I don’t think so.
